Anthurium Andraeanum
Bright tropical appearance, with red heart-shape leaves that resemble
flowers. These are not in fact flowers though, they are what is referred
to as a ‘spathe’, or a shield-like leaf. Its function is to protect the
spadix (the yellow protruding stalk at the center of the spathe) which
contains several tiny flowers. The spathe can come in many colors such
as pink, orange and white.
